    The world of ideas is in no way, and by no stretch of the imagination ‘stale’ and there has never been as much innovation as there is now. There is an uncountable amount of innovation and productivity going on, accessible to everyone, everywhere instantly, at a near zero cost. This is without precedent in human history.

    Unfortunately for the people who cant use computers, this innovation is happening in the world of software and the connecting infrastructure of the web. Its easy to miss the scale and mind boggling breath of the innovation that is being unleashed; some of it is so radical, that even the radicals are reflexively rejecting it. I am talking about Bitcoin of course.

    Pessimism has its place, and time, but there comes a point when it is inappropriate We have never had as many tools as we have to day to make us free. We should adopt a way of thinking that embraces the incredible power of the new technologies, like Laissez Faire Books does, and once and for all destroy the State, without firing a shot. We wont do this by misunderstanding and scorning the era we are in.
